In 2013, Zakk rescued Boomer (then: Cheddar) from Pasadena Humane Society, after his mom suggested he get a furry friend from their hometown shelter. Never having owned a cat before, Zakk raised Boomer like a dog, which explains Boomer’s tendencies to play fetch, greet you at the door when you get home, give kisses, and roll onto his back for belly rubs.
